Philip Stein Fruitz Classic Blueberry F36S-BU-BL Watch Review

Fruitz by Philip Stein
Philip Stein Fruitz Classic Blueberry Watch

The Philip Stein Fruitz Classic Blueberry Watch is a fun looking watch.  The blue color of this watch seems to announce that joy and excitement have arrived.  The strap is a solid blue color, while the dial’s faded blue emanates a softer, calming effect.

This Philip Stein watch is not only an eye turner; it is also super comfortable and durable.  The silicon strap makes for a truly light wear, even more so with its grooved interior, which helps reduce perspiration.  This is also a durable timepiece – the stainless steel case, which holds the 36mm diameter case in place, gives a sense of strength and long lastingness, while the 3 ATM water resistance level should hold the wearer in good stead too.

But this watch goes beyond being light, durable and fun to wear.  It also possesses the signature Philip Stein natural frequency technology, which promotes overall health and wellbeing in the wearer.

This breakthrough technology replicates the natural frequencies found on earth.  It communicates these frequencies to the wearer’s bio-field, via his or her wrist, and is therefore able to create a sense of balance, bringing the wearer more in touch with the natural earth.

This watch seems to be the perfect beach bag accessory.  It also looks great on blue eyed individuals, as it brings out the blue glitter in their eyes.

Philip Stein 12VBW Prestige Men’s Watch: Originality And Artistry

Check it out

If you want originality and artistry in your wristwatch, you want a Philip Stein. Take the Prestige 12VBW men’s watch for starters. It has a shape you will not see elsewhere, a color scheme that works well while bucking tradition and off kilter designing that does not interfere with utilitarianism. And of course it has the leading technology and quality of Philip Stein time keeping.

The 12VBW Prestige men’s watch has a stainless steel case in the oblong shape that Philip Stein is known for. Inside is a black, vertical textured background set with two silver colored dials, for multiple time zone efficiency. The dials alone are enough to set this watch apart. They are concentric circles of steel; the outer is smooth and the inner is textured. The hour markers are a combination of Arabic and Roman numerals. The top dial uses Roman numerals at 3, 7 and 10 o’clock, bucking custom again. There is also a 6 o’clock date window in the top dial. The watch’s movement is 1 RONDA and it is 5 ATM water resistant. The dial window is double curved sapphire with an anti-glare surface. The primary strap is the brown alligator 12-ABRD.

The Philip Stein 12VBW Prestige men’s watch sells for $1,660 at authorize sellers.

The Philip Stein Modern 9-CRBS Men’s Watch Holds Nothing Back

Spare nothing

Philip Stein held nothing back when creating its Modern 9-CRBS men’s watch. Starting with a super sized watch face, this time piece combines numerous features with innovative technology and visual elements that demand to be appreciated. Put it all together and you have a masterpiece of wrist watches that will not be outdone for decades, if ever.

The round, stainless steel, oversized case is nearly two inches in diameter. Under the full sapphire crystal that covers the watch face, there are two main dials to keep track of two different time zones. Within the top main dial there are three sub-dials – one for 24-hour time, one for minutes, and a chronograph stopwatch. There is also a date window at six o’clock. On this top dial, there the space is maximized by using different elements as hour markers. The date window, as mentioned, is six o’clock. Three, nine and noon are marked by Arabic numerals, ten and two are the edges of sub-dials and 11, 1, 4, 5, 7 and eight are denoted by white dots. The two black main dials are pasted atop a gray, wavy background that helps make the Philip Stein Modern 9-CRBS men’s watch as much are as time piece.

The Philip Stein Modern 9-CRBS men’s watch retails for $1,695.

Philip Stein Signature 3-T-CRCS Men’s Watch: The Future Down To Earth

Earthy futuristic

Philip Stein brings one of its characteristically futuristic watches down out of the clouds a little bit with some earth tone accenting on its Signature 3-T-CRCS men’s watch. Earthy or not, it is still one of the most advanced watches you will find, with modern designing that raises the bar for the rest of the industry and features and quality that won’t be outdone.

The Signature 3-T-CRCS men’s watch has Philip Stein’s oblong shaped watch face with two main dials and three sub-dials, ensuring you will never be stuck in boredom without anything to look at. The case is stainless steel and the main dials are silver colored on a background of what Philip Stein calls “taupe crystal.” There is a wavy textured look on that background to set it off ever so slightly from the dials. Among the sub dial features are military time and a chronograph stopwatch. The top main dial also includes a date window at 6 o’clock. A curved mineral crystal with a sapphire coating covers the dial and the watch is 5 ATM water resistant. The primary strap is calf leather Riva brown with red stitching, SKU# 3-CRVBR.

The Signature 3-T-CRCS Men’s Watch retails for $1,220 at Philip Stein and authorized sellers.

To Race Or To Fly: Philip Stein Signature Sport Chronograph 5-CF-CRWS-NRB Men’s Watch

Race or fly?

The Philip Stein Signature Sport Chronograph 5-CF-CRWS-NRB is perhaps the busiest men’s watch ever. I can’t decide whether it is more evocative of NASCAR or jet planes. It has the checkers of a finish line, the circular gauges of a dashboard and the knobs, instrumentation and materials of an aircraft.

The oblong watch case is carbon fiber and black rubber and the strap is black rubber, making the Signature Sport Chronograph 5-CF-CRWS-NRB men’s watch one of Philip Stein’s most sporty. The watch face, protected by a sapphire coated curved mineral crystal, includes two white main dials on a black and grey checkered background and three black sub dials within the top main dial, plus a date window at 4 o’clock. The sub dials measure military time, minutes and seconds. There are a total of four knobs to control the dials, making the side of the watch about as busy as the inside. In addition to black, white, grey and gunmetal colors, there are red accents  on the second hands, sub dial rims and at 12, 3, 6 and 9. The watch has Swiss quartz movement and it is 15 ATM water resistant.

The Philip Stein Signature Sport Chronograph 5-CF-CRWS-NRB men’s watch retails for $1,695 at authorized sellers.

Philip Stein Women’s Signature 1DD-T-NM101: A Clever Take on Glamour

The Philip Stein Collections Signature 1DD-T-NM101 combines glamour with playful styling.

There’s no doubt that this Philip Stein Collections Signature Small Stainless Steel Case with Full-Cut Diamonds would be a lovely addition to any women’s wrist.  But perhaps all those feel good vibes that make you playful.  Because this watch, glamorous as it is, can’t help but wink a bit at its clever styling.

To start with there’s the face – as delicate as a snowflake.  The Nouveau Diamond Dial has scattered diamond markers that give the impression of being truly scattered and then ever so artfully rearranged with a few left loose for even greater effect.  Even more diamonds adorn the bezel for a total of 1.20 carat total weight.  A wavy, fretwork design on the crystal separates the two dials while an Arabic one o’clock and Roman seven o’clock on the lower dial is yet another example of the design juxtapositions that Philip Stein does so well.

The watch is shown with an Alligator Platinum Metallic strap that works well with the monochromatics of the watch face and adds interest by bringing in another textural element.

Interestingly, Philip Stein chose a taupe crystal for this watch.  While the slight coloration isn’t visible, it’s certain the design choice adds something to the overall effect, perhaps taking the chill off an otherwise wintry color theme.

That’s what’s on the outside. But as we all know, it’s the proprietary technology on the inside that makes the wearer more relaxed, more rested and more immune to life’s stresses.  The integrated active technology is designed to reinforce the human body’s electromagnetic field with a natural earth signal associated with calm, meditation, relaxation, and enhanced performance.

The Collections Signature 1DD-T-NM101 retails for $3800 and can be found at the Philip Stein website or an authorized reseller.

Pea Green With Design Envy: The Philip Stein Prestige 12LW Men’s Watch

No holds barred designing

Like all the watches in the Philip Stein’s Prestige collection, the 12LW men’s watch is replete with features and flair that must make other watch designers pea green with envy. It has the subtlety of pastel in its background, splashes of color in the foreground, earth tone versatility on the straps, engineering creativity in its dial and calendar configuration, and a whole that is more than the sum.

The color scheme of the Prestige 12LW dial face consists of a white background with stripes in a light bluish gray gradient, silver gray numerals and hands, and splashes of forest green in the form of the second hands and some numbers. The primary strap is what Philip Stein calls Trieste green, which is kind of a light pea green. It has two time zone dials, the top dial has the calendar, which includes rotating numbers suppressed under the minute markers; except for the correct date, which shows up clearly in a window at 6 o’clock. The face is covered by a double curved sapphire crystal window with an anti-gloss coating. The men’s watch, which is 5 ATM water resistant, has 1 Ronda movement. The case is stainless steel, with two small sapphire windows on the back.

The Philip Stein Prestige 12LW men’s watch sells for $1,590 at authorized sellers.

The Fruitz of Summer: Philip Stein’s Winning New Collection

Shown here clockwise from left are Orange, Plum, Watermelon, Grapefruit, and Raspberry from the hot, new Philip Stein Fruitz collection.

They look practically good enough to eat.  Bursting with mouthwatering colors, the watches’ main attractions are their vibrant hues and striking resemblance to summer’s bountiful fruits.  In fact, they draw their name from their very inspiration. Desiring to design a watch that was fashion oriented and incorporated natural frequencies for a better life, Philip Stein created Fruitz.

The idea behind Fruitz watches is simple — just as your body receives important vitamins from fresh fruit, you can receive the benefits of Natural Frequency Technology from wearing your Fruitz watch.

The dial of each watch is made to resemble a juicy half cut fruit like Watermelon, Coconut, Papaya, Blueberry, Raspberry, Plum, Orange, Apple, Grapefruit, and Lychee among others.  The markers on each watch are meant to resemble the seeds of their respectively fruit, and a stylized second hand ramps up the fashion fun.  Each Fruitz watch comes in a 36 mm steel case and features the wonderfully textured 3-D dial.

Color and concept are the trends in today’s fashion, and this new line from Philip Stein provides a fun and fashion forward way to show off your summer persona.  Watch bands come in either coordinating colors made of silicon or stainless steel or gold plated stainless steel.

I LOVE the bold, playful colors of this collection, but if you’re more demure you might appreciate the Mulberry Fruitz watch, the most subdued of the collection. It’s color palette is a simple black and white with silver featuring a white on white starburst center, black “seeds” and a black silicon wristband.

Stylish as the new collection is, perhaps the best part of owning one of these new watches is the being able to experience the benefits of Philip Stein’s proprietary Natural Frequency Technology for the very affordable price of $225. Natural Frequency Technology helps balance the body’s energy flow and promote an improved sense of well-being by bringing the wearer’s biofield in line with the key frequencies emanating from deep within the earth.

Fruitz are now available in the United States through Nordstrom and Bloomingdales.  Any one of these watches would add a pop to your summer clothing.  Imagine how much fun you could have with two or three.

Texture: The Philip Stein Modern 7EB Men’s Watch

Can you feel it?

Philip Stein’s designers have once again outdone themselves on the Modern collection 7EB large round men’s watch. This time their originality comes through chiefly by way of texture. From the background of the dial face to the strap, this watch makes it seem as though it is possible to have a sense of touch not with your fingers or skin, but with your eyeballs. Despite the class of the watch, or the impressive technology and precision of Philip Stein, it is the unending stream of design elements that keep surprising us. This watch continues that string of successes.

The Philip Stein Modern 7EB men’s watch features two time zone dials, the primary marked with Roman numerals and the secondary with Arabic numbers. Both dials are stainless steel on a black background of tiny, fine points, giving it the aforementioned texture. The case is also stainless steel. The strap is a silk leather with its own texture that epitomizes modern style. While the strap is interchangeable, this one — the 2-IB — fits the design seamlessly. The dial face is protected with a full sapphire crystal window and the watch is 3-ATM water resistant.

The Philip Stein Modern 7EB large round men’s watch sells for $800 at the Philip Stein website and authorized sellers.
