Philip Stein and the Oprah Effect

I have no proof of this, but something tells me that my blood pressure goes up a notch whenever I look at my watch.  This is especially true at the end of a work day, because I’m always trying to squeeze a lot in before I go home?  So when I heard about Oprah Winfrey’s favorite watch, the Philip Stein Teslar watch, I couldn’t help but listen.

At first I was skeptical, but after all, Oprah is the influential “doyenne” of daytime TV, so her when she announces a favorite anything, I tend to listen.  According to Oprah, the Philip Stein watch may have the opposite effect on wearers.  That is, it could actually make me feel less stressed.

Philip Stein’s luxury watches are not only beautiful to look at, they can actually relieve tension, promote better sleep and give the wearer a pervasive sense of calm.  This can result in improved concentration and higher energy, which we could all use while on the job.  By producing an electromagnetic field that pulsates 7 to 9 times per second (7-9 MHz), it actually mimics the signals given off by the brain when the body is at its peak level of performance.

In a recent review published by the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine, research shows that the Philip Stein natural frequency watch boosted immune cell production.  In fact, when thirty members of the Miami Dolphins football team wore the watch for three months, 97% of them reported fewer aches and pains and improved sleep, while 93% reported higher energy levels.

According to Oprah’s “O” magazine, when an editor tested it for herself, she said her chronic knee pain disappeared after only two weeks.

Oprah found out about the watches when Madonna presented one to her as a gift.  The chic timepiece made Oprah feel so good, she soon presented one to every guest in her studio audience.  In case you thought this might just be a marketing tactic for Philip Stein, consider this:  the Philip Stein watch is the only product to make it onto “Oprah’s List of Favorite Things” twice!  Now that’s something to feel good about!
